King of Steps Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. If you sign in with email, we store your email address and the player name you choose. Sign-in codes are stored only as a one-way hash and expire after 10 minutes.
• Steps: your step count from Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iOS), read only after you allow it. We read steps only, no other health data.
• Location: read only when you tap Check in, to find players within 20 km (beta). Other players see a distance, never your exact position.

Why

Steps since your check-in decide your step-off power against nearby players. Your account lets you keep your progress and sign in on a new phone.

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never use health or step data for advertising, and never share it with ad networks.
• We never show your exact location to other players.

Where it's stored

Account data is stored on Cloudflare's servers. Sign-in emails are delivered by Resend. Game progress in this version is stored on your phone.

Your choices

Signing out removes the data stored on your phone. To delete your account, email support@kingofsteps.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete it within 30 days.
